- When potting in Akadama or similar mediums it is essential to remove the dust particles from the soil. Otherwise these particles can gather & form an inpenetrable layer in the soil preventing water or even root movement.
- Some growers recommend grading the granual size when repotting your bonsai with larger granuals at the bottom of the pot - this can improve the appearance.
